28th August 2026 – (Hong Kong) Today at 7.54am, police received a report that part of the ceiling, measuring about 4 metres by 3 metres, had collapsed along with concrete at a bakery on 14 Sheung Fung Street in Wong Tai Sin, striking a 26-year-old female customer.
The woman suffered injuries to her forehead and arm. Emergency personnel treated her at the scene before sending her to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment.
Online images showed fallen ceiling materials and concrete fragments scattered across the floor. The bakery was left in a mess, with large chunks of concrete having fallen from the ceiling and mooncake packaging covered in debris.
Police cordoned off the scene for investigation, while officers from the Buildings Department also arrived to look into the incident.
