26th October 2026 – (Hong Kong) Two exterior maintenance workers were left stranded outside Jardine House on Connaught Road Central at about 6.16pm when their suspended working platform reportedly malfunctioned mid‑operation. Both men were secured by safety lines and were seen waiting for help outside the tower’s circular windows, positioned roughly eight floors apart as emergency personnel assessed the scene.

Firefighters arrived promptly, accessed the rooftop and sent two rescuers abseiling down the facade to reach the pair. The lower‑positioned worker was brought safely down to street level first. With that phase completed, crews then assisted the second worker, who was nearer the roof, guiding him up to the rooftop. The rescue concluded at around 8.00pm, and the cradle was subsequently lowered to the ground. No injuries were immediately reported.
