12th September 2026 – (Hong Kong) Actress Margaret Chung, 49, has been admitted to the intensive care unit at the Chinese University of Hong Kong Hospital after recent public concern over her apparent weight loss and facial stiffness at a birthday gathering for friend Chow Ka Wai. News of her emergency admission emerged yesterday, 11th September, prompting an outpouring of support from the entertainment community and fans.
At around 12.00pm today, Toby Leung, one of the close friends in the “Seven Witches” circle, arrived on the ICU floor carrying takeaway food. Asked about Margaret Chung’s condition, Leung replied that she was “OK, very good,” adding that they were able to eat together. When pressed on whether Chung could hold a conversation, Leung nodded to indicate she could.
