12th September 2026 – (Hong Kong) Hacken Lee left his seat in the stalls to become the surprise guest of Alan Tam’s Coliseum opening night, weeping on stage, embracing the veteran nicknamed the Principal and leading a house-wide singalong of Friends.

Tam opened the first of ten Hong Kong dates in Alan Tam “Unforgettable” World Tour – Grand Finale last night, 11th September, at the Hong Kong Coliseum. Friends packing the front rows included Eric Tsang, Hacken Lee with Emily Lo, Simon Yam with Qi Qi, and Cally Kwong. Lee had come as a spectator until Tam called him up, drawing wave after wave of applause.

Once on stage Lee admitted it was the first time he had cried several times at a concert. Speaking for fans, he thanked Tam for so many good songs across the years, then pointed out that he had been sitting in the hall with Tsang in front, watching and weeping, and asked for a hug. The two men embraced in a moment that left the arena visibly moved.

Tam looked back on their years as the Left Lin Right Lee pairing, saying the seamless partnership made the reunion land with special force. Lee, flooded with memories, choked up mid-speech before the pair launched into the classic Friends, with the crowd joining the chorus.

For a residency billed as a grand finale, pulling a long-time collaborator out of the audience turned the opening into more than a set-list night. Lee’s tears, the on-stage hug and the shared Friends refrain framed Tam’s return to the Coliseum as a peer-to-peer farewell as much as a fan spectacle, with Tsang and the other celebrity well-wishers looking on from the seats Lee had just vacated.
