2nd November 2026 – (Hong Kong) The Weeknd has scored a chart‑topping hit in the city with his new single Hong Kong, released during a four‑night run of his After Hours Til Dawn Tour at Kai Tak Sports Park’s main stadium. The Canadian artist premiered the track live, weaving in elements of Faye Wong’s 1993 Cantonese classic Seasonal Wind as a tribute to the city’s music and film heritage. The accompanying artwork and visuals paid homage to Hong Kong’s cinematic aesthetic, amplifying the song’s nostalgic tone and fuelling a wave of online discussion.

The four shows drew a combined audience of around 200,000, setting a new high this year for a solo male performer at the Kai Tak main stadium. After its release on major platforms, Hong Kong quickly surged to the top of Apple Music’s local chart and helped spotlight Wong’s original recording, which re‑entered streaming rankings across the region. Clips from the performances shared on social media attracted millions of views and widespread engagement.

The Weeknd’s world tour, which began in 2022, has sold more than 7.5 million tickets to date with a global box office exceeding 1 billion US dollars. Following the Hong Kong dates, the itinerary moves to Kuala Lumpur on 4th and 5th November, marking the final stop of the tour.
