23rd September 2026 – (Hong Kong) A 48-year-old construction-related worker pleaded guilty in the High Court today to 14 counts of rape against his biological daughter, whom he began assaulting when she was six and continued for nearly six years at home, in shopping-mall toilets and in hotels.
The defendant, identified only as F.K.Y., admitted raping the girl known as X between 2015 and 2021 at a Tuen Mun flat, a mall accessible toilet, Hotel Cozi Wetland Tin Shui Wai, Hotel Cozi ยท Oasis in Kwai Chung, Hotel Cozi Resort in Tuen Mun and the Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui. He was remanded until 4th November for mitigation pending a psychological report.
X was born in 2009. In November 2022 she told a secondary-school social worker she had been abused since childhood, and police were alerted. In a video-recorded interview, she said the assaults began when she was six, often when her mother was out, and later almost every Sunday at hotels. The first incident, between 2015 and 2016, took place when father and daughter were alone; he entered the parents’ bedroom half-naked and lured her into intercourse with promises of a soft toy and in-game credits. She was too young to understand and later felt discomfort while continuing to play on a tablet. Further assaults followed at home, and on weekends after school in 2016 he took her about 10 times to a toilet in their estate mall.
By 2019, when X was nine, he said her mother was always at home so they should go to hotels. She refused; he offered HK$300 to HK$500 in game top-ups and she yielded. They pretended to visit a theme park; he credited about HK$300 for every three occasions of intercourse and ejaculated inside her on multiple occasions. In 2021, when she was 11, he drove her to Hotel Cozi ยท Oasis in Kwai Chung; she was in severe pain and later furious. Woken at midnight and asked again, she felt numb and did not refuse outwardly, though she said there were “many refusals inside my heart”.
He invented a hand gesture that meant she should submit to him and threatened to stop helping with homework if she refused. She said she could not stop him forcing intercourse against her will. At the Marco Polo he made sex a condition of finishing her schoolwork, then complained that paying for a hotel for homework had yielded only two encounters. The last charged rape there was in November 2021. Hotel records showed he registered 49 stays in 2021 alone.
