22nd September 2026 – (Hong Kong) Boyaa Interactive (00434) said it bought about 152 Bitcoins over the past week for a total consideration of roughly HK$90.63 million, or about US$75,899 a coin, as Bitcoin rebounded towards the US$85,000 level.
At a spot price of US$85,646, the fresh purchases showed an unrealised book gain of about HK$1.482 million. The Hong Kong-listed online gaming group’s shares jumped more than 11 per cent, earlier touching HK$3.49 on turnover of HK$4.65 million as traders piled into the Bitcoin-proxy name.
Boyaa said the Bitcoin was paid for from idle cash reserves generated by operations, with prices set according to public-market bids and offers. After the latest buys, the group held about 4,468 bitcoins at an average cost of roughly US$68,543 each, leaving a comfortable cushion against the latest spot print.
Management said crypto holdings are being gradually deployed into Web3 projects and that it will keep seeking investment and incubation opportunities in the space. In the near term, it expects to put roughly another 1,900 bitcoins to work for those uses, shrinking the pure treasury float.
The disclosure adds to a thin but closely watched cohort of Hong Kong equities that treat Bitcoin as both a treasury asset and a bridge into Web3 product plans. Investors are weighing the equity’s leverage to bitcoin’s rebound against the risk that further purchases or project deployments divert cash from the core online gaming franchise.
With an average book cost well below the latest spot print, Boyaa’s enlarged stack leaves the share price sensitive to crypto swings in either direction. The company’s plan to commit nearly 1,900 coins soon means a sizeable slice of the holding may leave pure treasury status and move into operational Web3 bets, keeping the stock a high-beta play on both Bitcoin and digital-asset strategy news.
