7th August 2023 – (Chongqing) In a distressing incident at Chongqing Railway Station, a female passenger recently found herself trapped in a shared massage chair while using the waiting area. Her long hair got entangled in the chair, rendering her immobile and prompting her to desperately call for assistance. With the help of bystanders, she was eventually freed from the ordeal. The Chongqing West Station Management Committee reported that the protective layer of the massage chair had been tampered with, leading to the suspension of all massage chair services within the station.
The incident unfolded at Chongqing Railway Station, where a video circulated online depicting a woman in considerable pain as her hair became caught in the massage chair. She repeatedly cried out, “Help me, help me,” drawing the attention of several individuals who rushed to her aid. At one point, she attempted to lift her head, but quickly fell back down. The footage captured her anguished pleas to have her hair cut off, with onlookers urging, “Quick, get scissors.” Eventually, with the collective effort of those around her, she was able to escape the entanglement.
According to the officials from the Chongqing West Station Management Committee, the affected passenger received medical examination and treatment after her hair became entwined in the massage chair. They stated, “Only a small clump of hair, about the width of a thumb, was pulled out, causing no further harm.” The situation has been resolved satisfactorily, and the massage chair company has obtained the woman’s understanding in the matter.
