7th November 2025 – (Hong Kong) Sincere, one of Hong Kong’s longest‑standing department store names, will close its Dragon Centre branch in Sham Shui Po at the end of December when the lease expires, drawing a curtain on almost three decades. The retailer confirmed that its Central and Mong Kok locations, along with its online shop, will continue to operate as normal.

Announcing the decision on social media on 6 November, Sincere described the move as a regretful farewell and thanked customers for their years of loyalty. To mark the store’s final weeks, the Sham Shui Po outlet is rolling out a clearance campaign with discounts starting from as low as 90% off, inviting long‑time patrons to make a last visit.

The Dragon Centre site has deep roots with the brand, with nostalgic shoppers recalling how Sincere once occupied floors one through seven before later consolidating to three levels. News of the closure has sparked concern among some consumers that the chain’s physical footprint is shrinking, leaving only the Central and Mong Kok stores on Hong Kong Island and Kowloon respectively. Others say the decision reflects the increasingly challenging terrain for brick‑and‑mortar retail in the city.

While the West Kowloon shop prepares to wind down operations by year’s end, Sincere’s remaining stores aim to carry the legacy forward, offering core ranges and seasonal promotions. Customers are encouraged to follow official channels for the latest clearance details, store hours and ongoing offers at the continuing locations.
