29th October 2026 – (Shenzhen) Stanley Ho’s daughter Laurinda Ho turned a desperate hunt for a public toilet at Shenzhen Bay Port into online comedy gold after posting that she was about to explode — and asking whether the crossing home to Hong Kong ought to have a loo a bit closer.
Many Hongkongers heading north or returning through a busy checkpoint know the panic of needing the toilet mid-queue and finding none nearby. Ms Ho, often dubbed the late casino magnate’s “most beautiful” daughter in Chinese entertainment coverage, hit that wall while clearing Shenzhen Bay on the way back to Hong Kong and took her frustration to Threads.
In the post she asked followers about toilet planning at the port. Caught short and finding the facilities too far away, she wrote whether anyone else felt that on the Shenzhen Bay route back to Hong Kong there should be a toilet a little nearer — summing up the urgency with “I am about to explode.”
At first readers treated it as an ordinary traveller’s moan. Then they checked the account, laurinda_ho, and realised the poster was the heiress herself. The thread blew up. Comments missed her practical point for laughs: surprise that Miss Ho would post something so down-to-earth; thanks for “proving” that even the super-rich need the toilet; and “goddesses need the loo too”.
Others urged her to fix the problem with her chequebook. One suggested she sponsor a toilet at Shenzhen Bay and put her name on it. The refrain “counting on you to fight for the toilets” became the joke of the thread, as readers cheerfully missed her point about distance.
