10th August 2026 – (Shanghai) Chinese robotics manufacturer Unitree Robotics has commenced subscriptions for its initial public offering on the Shanghai Stock Exchange’s STAR Market, following a preliminary offline price inquiry that reflected significant enthusiasm among investors. The Hangzhou-headquartered company is offering just over forty million shares at a price of 150.80 yuan per unit, equivalent to about twenty-two US dollars, representing ten per cent of its expanded share capital after the offering. The transaction is expected to raise gross proceeds approaching 6.1 billion yuan.
The company’s announcement revealed that, following the exclusion of invalid bids and the highest-priced subscription proposals, remaining offline subscription interest reached over seventy-one billion shares, a figure twenty-seven hundred sixty times larger than the initial offline offering size prior to any strategic placement adjustments.
According to its prospectus, Unitree Robotics focuses on the development, manufacture and sale of high-performance general-purpose humanoid and quadruped robots, as well as advanced robot components and embodied intelligence systems. The firm has positioned itself as a civilian robotics leader, with particular strengths in core technologies such as robot parts, motion control and sensory functions.
Between 2023 and 2025, the company sold 33,294 quadruped robots and 5,632 humanoid robots, with shipments of humanoid units surpassing 5,500 in 2025, excluding wheeled dual-arm robot sales. Approval for Unitree’s IPO registration was granted by China’s securities regulator on 1st July.
