28th October 2026 – (Hong Kong) A fire broke out at a ground‑floor restaurant at 74–78 Hau Tei Square in Tsuen Wan at about 5.14pm, after multiple callers alerted police to heavy smoke rising from the premises. Around 20 employees and diners evacuated promptly and no injuries were reported at the scene in the initial response.
Video and images shared online showed dense smoke billowing into the air and drifting with the wind to shroud a nearby building covered in scaffolding and safety netting. Plumes were also seen pushing out from beneath a pedestrian footbridge and spreading towards Tai Ho Road as bystanders recorded the scene on their phones.
