2nd October 2026 – (Nagoya) Hong Kong have advanced to the women’s team squash final at the Nagoya Asian Games and will face Malaysia as they bid to reclaim the title they last won at the Jakarta Games. The squad head into the gold‑medal match with momentum after edging India 2–1 in yesterday’s semi‑final, while Malaysia progressed by defeating hosts Japan.
Hong Kong’s campaign in Nagoya has already produced a strong return of one gold, one silver and two bronze medals across the squash programme. The women’s team are seeking to cap that haul by securing top honours again, continuing a run that has seen Hong Kong step onto the podium in both men’s and women’s team events at every Games since the discipline added team competitions in Guangzhou in 2010.
Key performances in the semi‑final included a stirring first‑rubber comeback by Chan Sin‑yuk, with Ho Tze‑lok anchoring the decisive match to seal progress to the final. With confidence high and depth across the order, Hong Kong now turn their focus to overcoming Malaysia in today’s title contest.
