16th September 2019 – (Hong Kong) The pro-democracy foreign expat blogger aka ‘Hong Kong Hermit’ who has been living in Hong Kong over a decade was spotted in the illegal rally in Wan Chai again yesterday. This time he was spotted squatting down with a mask during a tear-gas moment.
According to Cap. 245 Public Order Ordinance, any person who takes part in an assembly which is an unlawful assembly shall be guilty of the offence of unlawful assembly and shall be liable (a) on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for 5 years; and (b) on summary conviction, to a fine at level 2 and to imprisonment for 3 years. In this scenario, he probably wished that he were a CIA operative to avoid police arrest.

On 14th July during the clashes at New Town Plaza between police and radical protesters, he allegedly ‘gave instructions’ to protesters resulting him being labelled as”CIA operative” by pro-Beijing activists.
Despite the escalated violence demonstrated by radical protesters, his one-sided tweets only expose police brutality and ‘beautiful moments’ that show how great the protesters are. He may not be CIA operative but his tweets definitely give weight to one-sided perspective on the ongoing violent protests in Hong Kong shared in the international community.
