4th November 2026 – (Hong Kong) A residential flat comprising 2 subdivided units at Glory House, 174A Hennessy Road, Wan Chai, identified as 9C, has been scheduled for auction on 11th November 2026. The listing, advertised on 11th November 2026 under property reference 26111103, offers a usable area of about 350 square feet with an opening price of HK$1,450,000. The property is being sold with an existing tenancy stated as running from 1st March 2022 to 28th February 2032 at a monthly rent of HK$13,000.

The auction notice comes 3 years after a death was reported in the same building. On 25th October 2023, at about 5.41pm, police were called to Glory House on Hennessy Road where an 34-year-old American man was found lying in the light well and was certified dead at the scene. Contemporary reports indicated he was believed to have fallen from a ninth‑floor flat, with glass fragments and bottles found inside the unit. Officers conducted on‑site inquiries and, with assistance from the Fire Services Department, forced entry to continue the investigation. The deceased also had unexplained injuries.

Police said bloodstains were found on the walls of the main bedroom, bathroom and near the bed in his flat, and witnesses reported the sound of objects being thrown and glass breaking. According to their inquiries, a caller on Tuesday reported the man wandering naked in the building lobby. He allegedly said there were “ghosts” in his home and fled. Officers have reason to suspect a relapse of delusional symptoms led to self‑harm before he jumped from the apartment while attempting to escape, resulting in his death.
