3rd November 2026 – (Hong Kong) Tennis player Coleman Wong is standing by a claim that he only met actress Mandy Tam Man-huen in October, after splitting from Constance Chan Hong-tei in September — yet her own September posts about a new home, and magazine reports of a Sai Kung villa, have left the dating calendar looking anything but tidy.
Mr Wong phoned into a JFFT live stream on the evening of 2nd November, drawing more than 15,000 concurrent viewers. He said he and Ms Chan had already parted in September, that she had initiated the break, and that no third party was involved. On when he and Ms Tam became an item, he was firm: by October both were in a “clean” situation when they first met, got to know each other and only then made the relationship official — a bid to answer talk of a seamless switch after they were seen affectionate at a Guangzhou tournament and she later appeared beside him in Seoul.
A different account, however, has circulated through entertainment reporting. Sources cited in those reports say the pair had already grown close in August, and that Ms Tam — often described as keen on moving in quickly — relocated in early September to a roughly 2,000-square-foot Sai Kung house on a monthly rent of about HK$50,000 that Mr Wong allegedly covered. On her social channels she posted as early as 13th September, holding a cardboard box on an indoor staircase with the caption “New house new mess new chapter”. Other uploads include a smiling breakfast-themed shot that appears to have been taken from a man’s vantage point, tagged “I am A Breakfast Person”, which some readers took as a hint of shared mornings — at odds with a first meeting only in October.
Online sleuths have also lined up likes and follows. From mid-September Mr Wong is said to have liked almost every one of Ms Tam’s Instagram posts, while Ms Chan’s last like on Ms Tam’s feed was on 13th September — around the time the former couple were spotted unfollowing each other. Separate claims that Mr Wong often made excuses and went missing when he was not competing have fuelled the same mid-September tipping-point theory. Ms Tam’s former boyfriend, volleyball coach Austin Au Hin-yeung, earlier posted a green-stained palm and cryptic Stories that some took as a hint he felt wronged.
