4th November 2026 – (Hong Kong) An easterly airstream affected the Guangdong coast yesterday, drawing in a band of cloud that kept local conditions mainly cloudy. Hong Kong saw a few rain patches in the morning and at night with brighter intervals during the day. The easterly flow will keep it relatively windy along the southern China coast today, before easing and allowing an improvement in the weather tomorrow.

Severe Tropical Storm In‑fa intensified into a typhoon last night. At 11.00pm, In‑fa was centred about 290 kilometres west‑southwest of Iwo Jima, moving north‑northwest at around 10 kilometres per hour across the seas south of Japan. It is expected to continue on this path over the next couple of days before gradually evolving into an extratropical system.

For Hong Kong today, Wednesday, 4th November 2026, the forecast is mainly cloudy with one or two rain patches in the morning and at night, and bright periods during the day. Temperatures will range between 25 and 28 degrees. Winds will be moderate to fresh easterlies, occasionally strong offshore and on high ground at first.

Looking ahead, sunny periods are expected over the next couple of days. A strong northeast monsoon is forecast to reach the Guangdong coast later on Friday, bringing windy conditions into the weekend and a gradual temperature fall early next week as winds turn northerly. Under the subsequent, drier monsoon replenishment, the weather over southern China will be mainly fine from early to mid‑week, with a larger difference between day and night temperatures over inland areas. Temperatures in Hong Kong are anticipated to be around 21 degrees on the morning of Tuesday, 10th November.
