27th October 2026 – (Hong Kong) A man in a peaked cap seized a pork cleaver from a Tin Shui Wai meat stall and slapped it across his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend, CCTV obtained by reporters shows – as stall workers begged him to put the blade down and police hunt the attacker.
The clip, filmed about 4.30pm on 26th October outside Grandeur Terrace Shopping Centre at 88 Tin Shui Road, shows the capped man pointing from the carriageway at a man in black on the pavement. The black-clad man, still on the phone, edged toward a meat stall ahead. The capped man walked straight at him, snatched a pork knife from the stall and struck with the flat of the blade, shouting abuse that scattered hawkers and passers-by.
He kept the knife raised, hit the other man’s head with his left hand and shoved him, still swearing. A stall worker pleaded: “No, no, don’t – brother, put the knife down!” The attacker pressed him about where a woman was; the victim said he did not know and told him to call her himself. The capped man then slapped the blade across his face with a loud crack that drew screams. Covering his face, the victim was warned not to treat the attacker as soft, before the knife was flung at his back and clattered to the ground. Staff yelled for him to run; he fled as the attacker bent to pick up the blade – and the footage ends.
Police said that at 4.34pm yesterday, a man suddenly grabbed a pork cleaver at the meat stall opposite Grandeur Terrace and attacked a 38-year-old man surnamed Po, who was hurt on the neck and back and fled. The attacker later met his 34-year-old ex-girlfriend, surnamed Leung, at a supermarket further along the street. At the Tin Shui Road junction outside the plaza, he assaulted her with his hands, injuring her head and eyes. Po is understood to be Leung’s current boyfriend; the wanted man is her former partner.
