9th September 2026 – (Hong Kong) A video circulating online today shows a heated exchange inside a crowded MTR Light Rail carriage, during which a man in a white shirt, wearing a mask, repeatedly stepped on and off the train to block the doors from closing. The incident unfolded at Tin King stop, where several Light Rail vehicles appeared to queue outside the platforms as the carriage filled to capacity. Tin King is a designated Light Rail stop on the Tuen Mun network.
Witnesses in the video can be heard urging the doors to be closed and calling for police, with some passengers shouting in frustration as the train finally pulled away. Moments later, the same man is seen arguing with a woman; another male passenger intervenes, warning him not to “harass” her. The exchange continued until the train reached the next stop, where the standoff persisted and the footage ends.
Police said they received a report from MTR staff at 5.08pm that an altercation had taken place on board a Light Rail Route 615 service heading towards Siu Hong. One of the individuals involved got off at Siu Hong station, and the case is being handled as a dispute. Route 615 and its short‑working variant 615P serve the corridor linking Tin King, Leung King and Siu Hong within Tuen Mun.
