30th May 2022 – (Hong Kong) Market Wholesome is a popular Korean grocery store in Hong Kong, offering a wide variety unique, up-to-date Korean food, such as dry food, chilled food, frozen food etc. Its first store was opened in Taikoo Shing and a second outlet was opened in Yau Mai Tei in 2021.
Following its success, Market Wholesome just opened a brand new 1,800sqf flagship store in Causeway Bay this month. Similar to its other outlets, there is also a ramen making machine that cooks Korean noodles quickly and consistently. The “Market Wholesome Bar” is a signature feature created for customers to cook their instant noodles by themselves if they wish.
Customers can also buy the ‘Pojangmacha’ or green melamine plates and bowls that are served by Korean street food hawkers and restaurants.
Must-buy popular products include “No Brand Bulgogi Pizza” – Korean famous pizza, “No Brand Jeju Black Pork Seasoned Bulgogi” – thin Jeju Black Pork with spicy sauce, “JEJU Marinated Frozen Black Pork Short Rib Patties” and “No Brand Jeju Black Pork Seasoned Bulgogi”.
The branch also has a large selection of Kimchi including Jongga Kimchi which is favoured by most locals. Other popular items include “No Brand Egg Tart”. Just put into the microwave, oven or air fryer to make yummy egg tarts similar to Portuguese egg tarts. You can also buy the “NoBrand Multi-Layer Brown Sugar Pancake” and follow the simple steps to make the Korean pancakes at home.
In addition, the branch also offers different types of healthy drinks that contain various vitamins and vegetable Estrogen with 100% concentrated juice, no added sugar, preservatives or colorants.
Customers who spend over HK$200 can become Market Wholesome (MWS)’s member and enjoy 10% off. Customers can also get No Brand biscuits and ice-cream for free and add HK$10 to redeem the limited edition Nongshim shinramyun bowl until 30th June. Customers will also earn MWS points to redeem products.
