4th October 2019 – (Hong Kong) MTR announced at 10.34pm that all train services were fully suspended due to escalated violence. All light rail and MTR shuttle buses were suspended immediately.
Earlier this evening, MTR announced closure of Prince Edward Station, Kwun Tong Station, Tai Koo Station, Tai Wai Station, Tseung Kwan O Station, Tsuen Wan Station, Kwai Fong Station, Sha Tin Wan Station, Sha Tin, Wong Tai Sin Station, Kowloon Bay Station, Lok Fu Station, Causeway Bay Station, Hang Hau Station and Kwai Hing station. At 9.11pm, Ma On Shan line was suspended while East Rail line was suspended at 9.25pm. Tuen Mun and Tuen Mun West Station were also closed at 9.30pm. Protesters destroyed public amenities at Che Kung Temple station, Sha Tin Wai and Lok Fu Station. Since 9pm, Tsuen Wan line at Admiralty Station was affected while Tsuen Wan line was suspended at 9.40pm.
