1st November 2026 – (Hong Kong) A 23‑year‑old woman from mainland China who has been working in Hong Kong after graduating from university vanished in the early hours following Halloween celebrations, prompting a police search across several Kowloon stations. She and a 22‑year‑old female friend had been drinking at a bar in Tsim Sha Tsui on 31st October before boarding the MTR with plans to rest at the friend’s home in Tai Wai. When the train reached Mong Kok, the intoxicated woman, surnamed Poon, became separated; by the time her friend noticed, the train had already departed, and a search on adjacent platforms failed to locate her, leading to a report to police.

Officers combed nearby rail stops and visited the woman’s registered address in Cheung Sha Wan without success. In the early hours of 1st November, police were notified by Princess Margaret Hospital that the missing woman had been admitted to the accident and emergency observation ward. She told investigators she could not recall when or where she had alighted from the train due to severe intoxication.

According to initial enquiries, passers‑by discovered the woman near a bus stop in Tsing Yi and called for assistance after noticing she felt unwell. She had no visible injuries and was transported by ambulance to Princess Margaret Hospital for treatment.
