27th December 2022 – (Seoul) 37-year-old South Korean actor Song Joong-ki has recently admitted that he is dating a British woman.
On 26th December, the actor was reported to be dating a British woman who is not a celebrity—and later that morning, his agency confirmed that he is in a relationship. Korean media reported that Song Joong-ki’s girlfriend is former actress Katy Louise Saunders, who was photographed with him several times.
Song and his girlfriend were spotted arriving at Incheon International Airport on 9th December.
38-year-old Katy Louise Saunders was born on 21st July 1984 in London, England, UK. She is an actress, known for The Borgia (2006), Third Person (2013) and The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003). She’s of English and Colombian descent. She moved to Rome, Italy, when she was a child.
During the 8th APAN Star Awards in September, Song won the grand prize and thanked “Katy, Nalla, Maya and Antes.” Nalla is the name of his dog, while Maya and Antes are Saunders’ dogs.
Korean media outlet Sports Chosun reported earlier that Kate accompanied Song when he visited Singapore for the promotion of “Reborn Rich” on 7th December. He even introduced her to the staff. On 17th December, Song attended the wedding ceremony of golf player Lim Sung-jae at Lotte Hotel World in Seoul with Kate.
Song rose to fame in the historical coming-of-age drama Sungkyunkwan Scandal (2010) and the variety show Running Man (2010–2011) as one of the original cast members. On 5th July, 2017, Song and Descendants of the Sun co-star Song Hye-kyo announced through their respective agencies that they were engaged.They married in a private ceremony on 31st October, 2017, at Youngbingwan, Hotel Shilla in Seoul, amid intense media interest across Asia with his closest family and friends. On 26th June, 2019, the couple announced their divorce, which was finalised in July 2019.
