14th July 2025 – (Beijing) On 13th July, Singaporean singer-songwriter JJ Lin shocked over 100,000 fans at the final show of his world tour at Beijing National Stadium by revealing he has been diagnosed with a heart condition. Lin disclosed that he discovered the issue in April 2024 and now relies on daily medication to manage his health. He candidly reflected, “The hourglass of life is speeding up. How much longer can I continue to sing?”
Fans reported that during the performance, Lin appeared visibly in pain, bending over on stage with a pained expression. However, he managed to regain composure and continue the show after recovering his breath.
Lin shared that the diagnosis had been a deeply sobering moment for him. “This news truly stunned me. I never imagined something like this could happen to me. In that moment, I felt as if the hourglass of life had accelerated. That question—how much longer—suddenly felt so real. But I told myself, even if my heartbeat skips a rhythm, I’ll keep pushing forward.”
Despite his condition, Lin persevered and completed 103 high-energy performances in his global tour. He expressed gratitude to fans who travelled from all over the world to attend the shows. “I hope my hard work, the dedication of my team, and everything we’ve delivered has lived up to your expectations,” he said. Lin also acknowledged criticism but stated that he chooses to face it with a smile.
Fans have observed Lin wearing what appears to be a health monitoring bracelet, possibly to track his heart rate. During his performance of Exchange Remaining Life, Lin reportedly turned his back to the audience momentarily to endure discomfort but quickly recovered to finish the song. Lin’s management confirmed that he undergoes regular medical check-ups and plans to take more rest after concluding his tour. They assured fans that Lin will prioritise his health while completing his current commitments.
