30th October 2026 – (Hong Kong) A 33-year-old air-conditioning repairman was today sentenced to seven days’ imprisonment, suspended for 18 months, after admitting he stood naked outside a neighbour’s flat door, masturbated and filmed himself with a selfie stick. Sze Chu-fung pleaded guilty at West Kowloon Magistrates’ Courts to one count of committing an act of indecency in a public place. The charge stated that on 31st August 2026, outside a flat on the 37th floor of Shek Kai House at Shek Lei (II) Estate in Kwai Chung, he without lawful authority or excuse indecently exposed his penis in that public place.
Defence counsel pleaded that the defendant was not bad by nature, had already been racked by conscience over what he had done and was actively seeking assistance. Magistrate Amy Chan Wai-mun said the behaviour was absolutely alarming and very indecent.
She nonetheless took account of his clean record, early guilty plea and the fact he had already received related treatment, and imposed seven days’ jail suspended for 18 months rather than an immediate custodial stretch.
According to the admitted facts, the flat’s resident was tipped off by a neighbour across the corridor that someone had been standing naked and masturbating outside the door on 31st August, and called the police for help. Officers obtained doorbell-camera footage that captured the episode as it unfolded at the doorway.
The recording showed the defendant holding a selfie stick linked to a mobile phone in one hand while masturbating with the other, and at one point picking up a shoe left outside the flat. That detail later featured again in his cautioned account of how the incident progressed.
Under arrest and caution, Sze admitted the offence and said he had been “just fooling around, so stripped and went downstairs to masturbate”. Police later found nude footage of the same incident on his phone, matching what the doorbell camera had already shown.
He further admitted that, seeking thrills that day, he had removed his clothes, gone to the flat door one floor below to masturbate and take selfies, and rubbed his private parts with a shoe belonging to the unit outside which he was standing.
