28th October 2023 – (Hong Kong) Jacqueline Wong, and RubberBand drummer Lai Man-wang, exchanged vows in a private outdoor wedding ceremony held in Yueng Long yesterday evening. The couple chose to keep the guest list limited to a small group of close family and friends. Since their relationship became public, Wong and Lai Man-wang have maintained a low-key profile. Wong once described their bond as one that grew stronger through adversity.
During the wedding reception, Lai Man-wang took the opportunity to express his gratitude and publicly acknowledge his wife, delivering a heartfelt declaration of love. He said, “Thank you for being my shelter, for listening to my thoughts when I’m exhausted from work. I appreciate your constant care and support. With everyone’s applause tonight, I want to express my gratitude to my amazing wife.”
Last night, instead of hosting their banquet at a five-star hotel, they chose to hold the wedding ceremony at an outdoor venue in Yuen Long. The venue, located in Kam Tin and covering an area of 40,000 square feet, can accommodate 80 to 400 guests. It features a spacious lawn and is equipped with tents, projectors, and sound equipment, following a natural and down-to-earth style. According to the official website, the minimum expenditure is displayed, and for a wedding ceremony with a light refreshment reception starting from 80 people, the average cost per person is only HK$1,225, which means the total cost could be as low as HK$98,000, which is quite affordable.
Wong wore a low-cut, spaghetti strap, trailing wedding gown, which was revealed to be from the Israeli brand BERTA PRIVÉE. Furthermore, the gown is currently on sale, priced at £5,490 (approximately HK$52,140).
Wong, who has recently made a comeback after a hiatus, also shared a few words. She expressed her hopes for everyone’s dreams to come true and for their good health. Jacqueline Wong, known for her involvement in a controversial physical intimacy scandal with married Hong Kong singer and actor Andy Hui in 2019, has kept a low public profile since then. In 2021, she was spotted with Lai Man-wang, confirming their relationship. Throughout her career setbacks, Lai Man-wang has been by her side, supporting her both personally and professionally. He has played a significant role in her recent music releases, including the song “Crown Me” where he served as the arranger and producer.
After officially becoming a wife, Wong posted photos of her wedding and wrote, “Just Married.” It is evident that she looks incredibly happy wearing a luxurious Vera Wang wedding gown, and their two beloved dogs also stole the spotlight!
