24th August 2022 – (Hong Kong) At around 10.12am today, a man suddenly assaulted the female owner of Paddo Restaurant at G/F, Ka Wah Building, 74-80A Yuk Wah Street, Tsz Wan Shan with a fruit knife.
The victim was caught off guard. She sustained neck injuries as a result. The diners at the scene joined forces to subdue the man and reported to the police for help. The officers rushed to the scene and, after learning about the incident, arrested the man on suspicion of “injuring people” and took him away for further investigation. The injured restaurant owner was bandaged by the ambulance and was accompanied by another woman to the hospital for treatment. It is reported that she did not know the man involved. The case is being handed over to the Criminal Investigation Team of Wong Tai Sin Police District for follow-up. Sources said the incident was not ruled out due to differences over political stand. Many residents nearby were puzzled when they learned of the incident, saying that the owner was a kind person, and she also gave food discounts for the elderly, students over the years.
