19th November 2021 – (Hong Kong) A fatal bus accident occurred in Tai Wai, Sha Tin last night (18th). A KMB bus no 88K ran out of control and landed on its left side. A male passenger surnamed Ng (37 years old) on the upper deck was crushed the body of the bus. He was certified dead after being sent to hospital.
At about 4pm this afternoon (19th), Ng’s mother, 1 male and 2 female relatives went to the scene of the incident to carry out a worshipping ritual. Coke and some roast meat rice were used in the ritual. The deceased mother’s clasped her hands together and chanted. Everyone looked sad, left about 50 minutes later. Ng’s mother revealed that Ng met a friend to play football at Lek Yuen Village in Sha Tin before the incident. The Social Welfare Department and KMB have sent someone to contact her, so she does not need other help for the time being.
The bus driver has been arrested.
