15th December 2021 – (Hong Kong) A suicide occurred on the campus of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology today. At nearly 5pm in the afternoon, a 22-year-old male student fell from the fifth floor of the multi-storey parking lot to the ground after taking the exam. The boy was subsequently sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for emergency treatment and was certified dead. Sources at the scene stated that the police seized a suicide note on the deceased, suspected to be related to academic pressure, and the cause of death is yet to be determined by an autopsy.
