3rd March 2023 – (Hong Kong) Abby Choi, a well-known 28-year-old socialite, met a horrific fate at the hands of her ex-husband’s family, who killed and dismembered her. The police have apprehended four individuals, including members of Alex Kwong’s family, her former husband. However, the former father-in-law’s mistress, who was also arrested, has been granted bail.
Moreover, the police have recently arrested a 41-year-old man named Lam, who worked for a yacht charter company in Sheung Wan. Lam is suspected of aiding Alex Kwong in escaping Hong Kong by sea and demanding a substantial amount of money as compensation. Superintendent Alan Chung Nga-lun, who leads the Police Crime Kowloon West Regional Headquarters Operation, stated that the investigation is ongoing to determine the connection between the newly arrested individual and the previous defendants. Nonetheless, the authorities believe that Lam had knowledge of the assistance rendered to Kwong in his attempt to evade the law.
The recently arrested individual is suspected to be a former assistant of Hong Kong singer Ronald Cheng. He was reportedly closely associated with many celebrities in the industry and shared numerous photos with them. According to other media reports, he used to work for Gold Typhoon Group, a Chinese entertainment company, and was managed by Paco Wong, a veteran artist manager. Ronald Cheng did not confirm on the incident but he stated that his former assistant left his employment eight years ago and has had no contact with him since.
