1st April 2020 – (Hong Kong) After convening an Executive Council meeting this morning, Hong Kong government finally announced that all karaokes, night clubs and mahjong parlours will be closed effective from 3pm today onwards for 14 days.
According to Centre for Health Protection yesterday, five of the patients (4 women and 1 man) visited RED MR Karaoke on Carnarvon Road in TST during incubation period. One of them visited on the day when symptoms appeared and the rest developed symptoms on 27th and 28th March. There are two other close contacts who sang together with the five infected patients and they were sent to the quarantine centre for medical observation. The patient zero in the cluster who developed symptoms on 24th March. It is unsure of any of the employees have tested positive. The group sang in Room 704 at the branch. Cases in this cluster include 662, 687, 702, 704 and 705.
