12th March 2026 – (Tehran) Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has recently engaged in talks with leaders from Russia and Pakistan, suggesting that the country might be poised to re-enter negotiations. However, he outlined three specific conditions for this to occur: the respect of Iran’s sovereign rights, reparations for the damage inflicted upon the nation, and assurances that such aggression will not happen again.

Iran is currently awaiting a response but has reiterated its lack of trust in the negotiating parties.

In related news, Hezbollah announced further military action against Israel, attacking the town of Shtula in northern Israel. This assault is purportedly a retaliation for Israel’s strikes on Lebanon, particularly in the southern suburbs of Beirut. Israeli airstrikes recently escalated, marking one of the most intense periods of hostilities since 2nd March.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed ongoing operations against U.S. military bases in the Middle East. Ebrahim Zolfaghari stated that the attacks on American forces have resulted in casualties and emphasised that the Strait of Hormuz is being closely monitored by Iranian forces. He warned that attacks would persist, reinforcing Iran’s commitment to defending its sovereignty.
