30th March 2025 – (Hong Kong) A fire broke out in a 4×4 vehicle parked on Cheong Lok Street, Jordan, at 1.04pm today. The vehicle’s owner, dining at a nearby restaurant, rushed back upon hearing the commotion.

Firefighters quickly responded to the scene, deploying a team to extinguish the flames, while a rescue team assisted in the operation. The fire was swiftly brought under control.

Initial investigations suggest that a lithium battery, used for a photography flash, exploded and ignited, causing the fire to spread to the vehicle’s seats. The vehicle owner, who works in photography production, stated that the flash was not charging at the time of the incident and expressed uncertainty about the cause of the fire. He estimated the repair costs for the vehicle to be in the tens of thousands of Hong Kong dollars.Share
