11th February 2020 – (Hong Kong) Lukfook Jewellery is the latest retail group to be affected by the coronavirus outbreak. They have shortened the opening hours of all their branches with immediate effect and arranged for their staff to go on annual leave and one-day unpaid leave weekly.
The management expressed that the measure is necessary to reduce the interaction between staff and to take into account the lower consumer demand. Apart from the Macau branch, they have also closed down 10 branches. The group has over 50 branches in Hong Kong alone.
