24th October 2023 – (Hong Kong) At around 5pm today, a tour bus traveling along Lung Cheung Road in the direction of Kwun Tong suddenly caught fire near Tin Ma Court. The driver noticed the smoke and flames at the rear of the bus, immediately pulled over, and evacuated the vehicle before seeking assistance and reporting the incident.
Upon receiving the report, the fire department promptly arrived at the scene. They deployed a hose and dispatched a team wearing breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. Thankfully, no injuries were reported during the incident. However, the incident resulted in significant traffic congestion in the area. After conducting a preliminary investigation, the fire department suspects that the fire may have been caused by a mechanical failure in the vehicle.
