20 new COVID-19 cases expected in HK today, existing social distancing measures to extend for 2 weeks, sources


16th March 2021 – (Hong Kong) Sources confirmed there are 20 new confirmed COVID-19 cases today (26th), most of the cases were  epidemiologically linked with previous cases. No media conference will be held at 4.30pm later. As of yesterday (15th), there have been 11,312 confirmed cases in Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, the effective period of existing social distancing measures will expire tomorrow (17th). According to sources, the government will extend the existing social distancing measures for another two weeks in consideration of the recent outbreak of the epidemic, including a four-person ban on gatherings and other social distancing regulations. Bars and other listed premises are expected to remain closed.
