26th July 2025 – (Shenzhen) A foreign platform named “MaskPark Treehole Forum” has been exposed on Mainland social media for disseminating obscene videos of Chinese women. The group, reportedly comprising over 100,000 male members from China, has sparked public outrage and is being compared to the notorious “N Room” case. The forum features over 20 subgroups, all centred around explicit content, with the largest group reportedly amassing up to 900,000 members.

The forum’s activities include secretly filming women in various settings, sharing private images of ex-girlfriends, current partners, wives, mothers, and even minors, as well as distributing voyeuristic content of female colleagues. Some materials even depict sexual assault. The group’s chat threads are described as crass and highly explicit, further fuelling public condemnation.

A whistleblower, identified as “Momo,” revealed that one of the subgroups regularly posts private videos of strangers, many of which are monetised. This activity has also given rise to a shadow market selling hidden camera devices disguised as everyday objects, such as scented diffusers, water bottles, and power strips. These cameras have been used in locations like ultrasound clinics, public restrooms, subway stations, and shopping malls. While the forum’s largest subgroup has been shut down, Momo noted that smaller groups and hidden camera sales channels remain active.

One victim, identified as Ms. D, recounted receiving a private message in May from a stranger claiming to possess intimate photos and videos of her. Initially dismissing it as harassment, she was later directed to a Telegram channel linked to MaskPark, where she discovered explicit content of herself, including private images secretly taken by an ex-partner. Her social media accounts were also publicly displayed. Ms. D observed that the group’s membership rapidly grew from 80,000 in early May to over 100,000 by the end of the month. Reports suggest that the number of victims could reach as high as 900,000.
