31st October 2026 – (Hong Kong) A short video widely shared in local Facebook groups shows a woman in an evening dress apparently jumping from a red taxi before sitting in the centre of Gloucester Road in Wan Chai late at night, forcing passing drivers to slow to a crawl. A man in a suit is seen repeatedly trying to lift or guide her away without success as traffic inches by, creating a perilous scene on the multi‑lane carriageway near a junction.

Viewers described the footage as alarming and expressed frustration at the danger posed to motorists and the woman herself. Many condemned the behaviour as reckless, while others urged compassion, speculating that distress or acute emotional strain could have been a factor and noting that such episodes can overwhelm those affected. The clip, around 20 seconds long, appears to show a brief exchange between the two before the taxi driver closes the door and the man again attempts to help, with the outcome unclear.

Commenters also cited legal provisions reminding pedestrians not to enter the carriageway by climbing over roadside barriers or central dividers, offences that can attract a fixed penalty.
