18th December 2024 – (Hong Kong) Lisa-Marie Tse, Miss Hong Kong 2020, reported the tragic death of two of her dogs due to suspected poisoning during a routine walk in Tai Po’s She Shan Tsuen. Her third dog, a 13-year-old Dalmatian named Leo, exhibited symptoms of poisoning and is currently under critical medical observation.

On Sunday, Tse and friends ventured into a new area for their weekly dog walk, during which her two younger dogs, six-year-old Dachshund named Summer and three-year-old mongrel Peachy, suddenly fell ill after consuming suspected poisoned meat left at the roadside. Despite her immediate intervention, both dogs succumbed swiftly to the potent neurotoxins, with Peachy dying within moments on the scene and Summer shortly after upon reaching a nearby veterinary clinic.
The distraught owner described finding the food, cunningly prepared and hidden under banana leaves, which contained various meats including sausages and chicken livers laced with deadly toxins. This calculated act of cruelty has not only robbed Tse of her beloved pets but has also sparked a wave of fear among local dog owners.
Following the incident, Tse took to social media to express her grief and outrage, calling the act “disgusting, horrible, and unforgivable.” She has since reported the incident to the police, urging a swift response to prevent further such occurrences. The local police have classified the case as animal cruelty and are conducting an investigation with their specialised unit for animal-related crimes.
