27th October 2026 – (Singapore) Singapore announced a package of measures to embed artificial intelligence across its economy, with Enterprise Singapore stating that the programmes will support industry leaders, smaller enterprises and sector‑level adoption. Under the Champions of AI programme, Enterprise Singapore and partner agencies will work with participating firms to craft long‑term AI roadmaps, tap external expertise and solutions, and upgrade workforce capabilities.
The initial cohort will comprise 24 Singapore‑based companies from a range of industries that have committed to making AI a core engine of growth through enterprise‑wide transformation, with further participants to be added over time. For small and medium‑sized enterprises, a new series of workshops focused on agentic AI has been introduced after a pilot in which more than 280 small businesses applied such tools in marketing, sales and customer service. Additional workshops are scheduled for next month and will be expanded further in 2027.
A Catalytic AI Solutions initiative will in parallel accelerate adoption across whole sectors, beginning with advanced manufacturing as well as trade and logistics. Separately, the Agency for Science, Technology and Research launched the Materials Accelerator for Research, Venture and Enterprise Launchpad to speed the journey from discovery to deployment, combining AI models with automated laboratories.
The new accelerator is backed by about 150 million Singapore dollars, or roughly 117 million U.S. dollars, to help bridge the gap between research and scalable production of next‑generation materials.
