2nd November 2024 – (Hong Kong) At 4.23pm today, police received reports of a car fire on Ning Tai Road in Ma On Shan. Firefighters arrived at the scene and managed to extinguish the blaze by around 4.45pm. No injuries were reported.
Initial investigations suggest that the private car ignited suddenly while in motion, with the driver promptly notifying the authorities. Images from the scene reveal significant damage to the front of the vehicle, engulfed in flames and emitting thick black smoke that rose into the sky, while car parts were scattered across the ground. Passengers in passing minibuses were seen taking photos of the dramatic incident.
