13th July 2026 – (Hong Kong) A man has died after reportedly getting into difficulty at Tai Wan Shan Swimming Pool in Hung Hom on Monday evening. Police said they received a call from staff at the swimming complex at around 8.02pm today, reporting that a male swimmer was suspected of drowning near the poolside and had lost consciousness.
Emergency services arrived to find the man unresponsive. He was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for urgent treatment but was later pronounced dead.
