Madé in Central introduces Hong Kong to the art of French madeleines with handcrafted flavours

17th August 2026 – (Hong Kong) Madé has arrived in Central, introducing a slice of France to Hong Kong with its dedication to the iconic madeleine—a shell-shaped sponge cake that holds a special place in French hearts and culture. Each madeleine from Madé is expertly prepared in small batches, using only the finest French butter and flour to ensure every bite is as fresh as possible.

Handcrafting is at the core of this petite shop on Lyndhurst Terrace, where madeleines are baked throughout the day and presented in a variety of six enticing flavours: original, chocolate, matcha white chocolate, lemon, black sesame, and egg tart. Beyond the signature selection, the bakery promises rotating monthly specials and festive editions, adding seasonal flair to its offerings.

Madé sets a minimum order with a box of three madeleines priced at HKD98, while a box of six costs HKD180, and twelve are available at HKD338. During its soft-opening period, customers can enjoy complimentary cakes with every purchase—one extra with a box of three, two extra with six, and three extra with twelve, making the experience even more inviting for pastry enthusiasts.

While Hong Kong’s bakery scene is awash with French treats, Madé distinguishes itself as perhaps the city’s only atelier devoted entirely to this classic delicacy. The shop’s madeleines are described as fluffy and aromatic, pairing effortlessly with a cup of coffee for a simple yet satisfying indulgence.

Located at G/F, 54 Lyndhurst Terrace, Central, Madé invites locals and visitors alike to savour a genuine taste of French patisserie craft, one madeleine at a time.
