4th October 2026 – (Hong Kong) K&K Property Holdings Limited said it is treating reports of construction quality issues at a detached house in the One Stanley development with utmost seriousness and will cooperate fully with the Buildings Department’s investigation. Citing official information, the developer noted that authorities have assessed there is no obvious danger to the overall structure. The company has begun detailed fact‑finding and verification with relevant professionals and pledged to provide further updates once more information is confirmed.

The developer stated that, should inquiries substantiate any errors by parties involved in construction or related matters, it will arrange remedies for the affected property in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and will, where appropriate, pursue responsibility. The Buildings Department said the house was issued an occupancy permit in July 2023 and that a complaint from the owner’s representative was received in January 2026 concerning slab safety. Following a site visit in March and a series of inspections between June and September, including rebound‑hammer checks, cover‑thickness surveys, surface radar mapping, core compressive tests and open‑up examinations, officials found a lower‑level beam lacked the steel mesh shown on approved drawings and that reinforcement in some slabs did not match plans.

While reiterating that the situation does not presently pose an obvious risk to the building’s overall stability, the Buildings Department said workmanship requires follow‑up. It has asked the project’s authorised person, registered structural engineer, registered contractor and the developer to attend interviews and provide reports, test certificates and other documents, and said it would take rigorous enforcement action and consider prosecution if breaches of the Buildings Ordinance are confirmed. The Development Bureau intends to table amendments later this year to raise penalties for relevant contraventions.
