21st September 2021 – (Hong Kong) The term ‘Omakase’ is a Japanese phrase, used when ordering food in restaurants, that means ‘I’ll leave it up to you’ and in Hong Kong, there are many Japanese restaurants that offer such experience on Hong Kong island and TST but one particular Japanese restaurant which uses fresh ingredients imported from Japan to serve its customers all day long is FICUS at Monterey Place. FICUS which opened at end of 2020 is the only Japanese restaurant in Tseung Kwan O that offers whole-day Omakase experience.
At FICUS, diners can sit back and enjoy Omakase experience not only during lunch and dinner time but its talented chef will serve you even during tea time if they want to avoid the peak hours. Not only diners can enjoy watching the chef prepare the dishes but they can also enjoy sake to pair with their meal. Apart from Omakase, the restaurant also offers delectable selection of set lunch menu including sashimi and sushi during weekdays.
Diners can try its seasonal 6-course Omakase menu at HK$680 which includes assorted appetizer, sashimi, Washoku, sushi, Inaniwa Udon with Snapper Soup and seasonal dessert. Alternatively, diners can also try its 7-course Omakase dinner menu at HK$980 per person.
The sashimi and sushi are prepared by its skilled chef using the very fresh catch imported from Japan. The creamy snapper soup is very intense in flavour with a tinge of sweetness.
To celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, diners should try its special menu at HK$1,480 featuring the mouthwatering Black Abalone from the Chiba prefecture served with abalone liver sauce. This seasonal promotion is available from today for a month.
