6th August 2025 – (Kyiv) Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Tuesday that he had a “productive” phone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump regarding efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
“It is truly essential to stop the killing as soon as possible, and we fully support this,” Zelensky stated in a post on X.
He added that the discussions included topics such as sanctions against Russia, Ukraine’s collaboration with NATO member states, and bilateral defence cooperation between Ukraine and the United States. Zelensky also mentioned that Ukraine has prepared a draft agreement for drone cooperation with the U.S.
