Worker suffers leg injury in industrial accident at Chek Lap Kok construction site


12th April 2024 – (Hong Kong)  At 12pm today, an industrial accident occurred at a construction site located at 1 Sky Plaza Rd Central, Chek Lap Kok. A male worker, estimated to be around 35 years old, sustained a severe leg injury after being impaled by an iron support. Prompt rescue personnel arrived at the scene, but due to the delicate nature of the injury, they decided not to remove the impaled object and instead immobilized the affected area before transporting the injured worker to the hospital. The victim remained conscious throughout the ordeal and was subsequently taken to Princess Margaret Hospital for further medical treatment.
