1st October 2023 – (Hong Kong) At approximately 6.59am today, a distressing incident unfolded at 28 Shum Wan Road in Wong Chuk Hang. A floating object, resembling a person, was spotted about 30 meters off the coast. Emergency personnel swiftly responded to the scene and successfully rescued a woman believed to be around 50 years old. She was immediately transported to Ruttonjee Hospital in Wan Chai for urgent medical attention. However, despite the efforts made to save her life, she tragically succumbed to her condition. The identity of the victim and the circumstances leading to her fall into the sea remain under investigation.
