Woman in 40s attempts to jump off apartment in Tin Shui Wai where her daughter is found dead


10th October 2019 – (Hong Kong) At around 6.35am today, a woman in her 40s sat precariously on a window ledge of Heng Kin House, Tin Heng Estate in Tin Shui Wai.

She attempted to jump off before residents called the police. Firemen rushed to the scene and inflated an air mattress below. At around 8.30am, negotiator from police arrived to talk her into returning to a safe position. She was immediately sent to Tin Shui Wai Hospital for examination. Police then entered her apartment and found another unconscious woman lying on the floor. However, she was pronounced dead by paramedics. Police took 2 women who were present at the scene to assist their investigation. According to sources, the apartment was occupied by a married couple and their son and daughter. After the husband left the family recently due to relationship issues, only the wife and her daughter were living there. The deceased was confirmed to be her daughter. Police also found a suicide note next to the body.
