28th May 2022 – (Hong Kong) At about 9pm today (28th), the police received a report from a man that his wife was burning charcoal with their son at a unit in Hong Shui House, Shui Pin Wai Estate, Yuen Long. The paramedics arrived and immediately gave first aid to both of them. The son, who was about a few years old, fell into a coma. After sending the victims to Pok Oi Hospital, their son was certified dead. Police cordoned off the scene and are investigating the incident and cause.
The case was originally listed as suicide, but is now listed as murder and attempted suicide. According to sources, the couple were suspected of having a dispute before the incident. The woman left a suicide note saying that she was under pressure to take care of her son, and the cause of the incident is yet to be determined.
